We had the opportunity to recognize the women and men of Westerly Ambulance, Westerly Police, Charlestown Ambulance, Ashaway Ambulance, Hope Valley Ambulance, Hopkinton Police and Stonington Police. They were presented an EMS pride award from the physician medical director of RI DOH Center for EMS.

This recognition stems from their response to a multiple patient incident on December 23, 2023.

It cannot be overstated that the actions of initial arriving Westerly Police and Westerly Ambulance members, along with continuing care from supporting agencies, saved the lives of four individuals on December 23rd. Great job to all involved in this incident.
