Today officially marks 50 years of service for Charlestown Ambulance-Rescue Service. On March 15, 1971, we were incorporated as the Charlestown Ambulance Service. We honor and show appreciation for our founding members and their vision for our organization. Thank you to our founding board: Peter Richards, Charles Abbruzzese, Donald Bennison. Beatrice Fox and John Schroth.

Our journey is impossible without our members - founding, former, and current. Thank you for your dedication to service. Also, we must thank the Town of Charlestown, RI and our subscribers and donors for their endless support. As a note, our 2021 subscription donation drive has begun and mailers should arrive in mailboxes this week.

Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to keep up to date on our year-long campaign. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating this significant milestone. Use #CARS50years and share your story with us. We would love to hear your stories and see your photos of our past. They can be posted below or emailed to akettle@charlestownrescue.org. We’d love to hear how CARS has helped you.
