Sara Palombo, CARS EMT
Hometown: South Kingstown

As part of our 50th celebration, we will be introducing you to some of our members. We are excited to share their stories and how they serve our community. This week we are happy to feature Sara Palombo.

Sara Palombo was always interested in Emergency Medicine, but never fully understood what an Emergency Medical Technician did until she became a volunteer at Charlestown Ambulance Rescue Services. Five years later and Sara not only understands what an EMT is; she is one! Sara’s curiosity in the profession and desire to try something new is what drove her to join CARS years ago; and after working as an aide for two years, she successfully became an EMT basic.

In addition to her service at Rescue, Sara attends Rhode Island College where she studies Biology and works on campus in the Undergraduate Admissions Office. The student and EMT comes from an interesting background, being born in Russia and adopted at just 11-months-old. She now resides with her family and dog Bo in South Kingstown, and says the 50th Anniversary of CARS represents “Dedicated people working hard for 50 years to keep Charlestown residents safe and healthy.”
