| This class, provided by our Clinical Educator Lillian Hogan and Captain Bridget Whaley, meets the requirements of Protocol 6.05 for Interfacility and Non-Emergent Transport. During the training, we also incorporated hands-on work with our new QinFlow blood and fluid warmer, recently purchased through a generous donation. This equipment enhances our ability to safely administer warmed fluids in the field. Special thanks to our donors for making this possible. With this training, our paramedics are now prepared to safely manage and transport patients receiving blood or blood products, as well as those requiring chest drainage systems, during interfacility transports. Expanding these capabilities strengthens our ability to support our healthcare partners and deliver a higher level of care to the communities we serve. Great work by all involved as we continue to advance our service and clinical capabilities. |
