Charlestown Ambulance-Rescue Service is proud to host two Public Safety Rescue Swimmer courses this summer and fall, designed for firefighters, EMS providers, law enforcement officers, and other first responders.

This intensive 5-day, technician-level program provides realistic, hands-on training in:
🌊 Surf rescue
🪨 Rocky shoreline operations
🚤 Boat and shore-based deployments
🌊 Flood and moving water rescue
🏊 Rescue swimmer techniques
✅ NFPA-compliant water rescue training

Whether you're looking to build a new rescue capability for your agency or sharpen existing skills, this course will challenge you both physically and mentally while preparing you for some of the most demanding rescue environments.

📍 August 17–21 – Cape Elizabeth Fire/Rescue , ME (Portland Harbor)
📍 September 21–25 – Charlestown Rescue , RI (Ninigret Pond, Charlestown Breachway & Block Island Sound)

💲 Cost: $1,000 per student
