This week weโre introducing Abby!
Abby is from Charlestown, Rhode Island, and is currently enrolled at Rhode Island College, where she is studying Diagnostic Medical Imaging and Health Sciences. She joined Charlestown Ambulance-Rescue Service in 2024 as a volunteer to further explore her passion for healthcare and gain hands-on experience. Since then, she has earned her EMT certification and is now serving the community as a member of our staff.
When sheโs not caring for patients, Abby enjoys baking and is always happy to share homemade treats with her coworkers at the station. She also has a special passion for pediatric patients and has gained valuable experience working with children through a variety of teaching roles.
โMy time here at CARS has strengthened my passion and dedication for healthcare, and I have met incredible people who have helped me develop the knowledge and skills that will support me as I pursue my future career. I am so proud to be part of such a supportive and educational department, and Iโm excited to continue learning and serving alongside them!โ
