In continuation of our 50th anniversary, a proud CARS moment took place last night at the Town Council Chambers.

The Charlestown Town Council unanimously approved a Proclamation in Honor and Recognition of the Incorporators of the Charlestown Ambulance Service. Specifically, Peter S. Richards, Charles N. Abbruzzese, Donald Bennison, Beatrice Fox, John Schroth and Peter J. Abbruzzese, who, although not a signatory of the document, was instrumental in creating the Charlestown Ambulance Service.

Incorporators and Founders in attendance included:
Peter & Kathy Richards with their son, Scott
Peter Abbruzzese who participated virtually from Florida

Family members attending included:
Beatrice Fox’s daughter, Ellen Hoxie and her husband, Asa
John Schroth’s daughter, Donna Sieczkiewicz

Each received a signed proclamation from Town Council President, Deb Carney followed by a standing ovation from the Town Council, Town Officials, the public and CARS members in attendance. CARS is grateful to our Incorporators and their vision and fortitude to establish Emergency Medical Services in Charlestown. We also want to thank the Town of Charlestown for their continued support of our organization. We look forward to welcoming the Incorporators and their families to the station on November 18th to continue the celebration.
